Kirby Khalon Amour

A survivor, activist, community builder, and spiritual practitioner.
For years, Kirby has worked in activism, spirituality, and community building alongside survivors of many kinds of harm. Across those experiences, one need kept returning: community. People need others who understand, who stand beside them, and who help with the ordinary things that make survival possible.
Sometimes that means a trusted legal-support recommendation. Sometimes it means a hot meal to feed her family, a listening ear, or someone who will show up. Survivors supporting survivors can take many forms.
Church of Sacred Resistance is the cumulative product of that experience. It brings spiritual life and practical solidarity together around the conviction that, above all else, we need community.
Kirby is a seminarian in training. As Founder & Interim Minister, she is building a multifaith space where remembrance becomes relationship, and relationship becomes care.
“Above all else, we need community.”
