At recognition, living women may be honored as Living Saints of Resistance while awaiting celebration. Their formal canonization is completed in communal ritual.

Celebration & Ritual

Canonization is completed in community. During a public gathering, we tell her story, name what was done to her, name what she resisted, and formally welcome her among the Saints of Resistance. Through ritual, remembrance, music, testimony, and the speaking of her name, the community marks her life as sacred.

Review and recognition prepare the way; sainthood is completed when the community gathers and bears witness.

Living and deceased women are eligible. Consent is not a prerequisite for church recognition. Recognition does not imply endorsement or moral perfection; personal privacy remains protected.
